No more jay-walking! No more running stop signs!

We all know how badly Sims drive..they speed, they ignore give-way (yield) and stop signs. Well..now they can ignore this too.

What is it? It's Traffic lights with walk/don't walk signs. They work in sequence, too. By the nature of things Sim, it had to be a four-way sequence rather than a three way, but some countries use a four way anyway. This means it goes GREEN, GREEN/AMBER, RED, RED/AMBER. The Walk sign is lit on green in one direction and the Don't Walk is lit the other direction. Both sides light up Don't Walk on red or red and green with an amber. Each light holds for approx. 15 seconds. It won't operate in Buy or Build mode, you must be in game play.

Lovingly carved from a Birch tree, it also borrowed from a street light. The mesh is DT-trafficlight.OBJ

***Feb 27*** Thank you to zedrik for advising the way to make this appear in the right place in the Buy Catalogue for Community/DT lots - Outdoors >> Lights. The package has been change to reflect this.

If you have the package already and SimPE you can change it yourself or redownload. This update does not affect the object at all so existing owners do not need to update unless they want to change catalogue location

No fiddling. No pay sites. Use it, give it away, change the color if you like, as long as you link back to here please.

Thank you and enjoy watching the lights change

Open for business: As those who have it may have already discovered, Maxis has disabled 'moveobjects' for object placement outside a lot build boundary. For me and many others who have made 'street decoration' this ruins our concept of what a street should look like. My advice? Complain loud and long to Maxis and EA. It was a pointless and stupid change on their part.
