Ever so trendy in the most fashionable of monastaries from centuries gone by was the monks tonsure haircut.

Tonsuring is shaving part (or all) of the head. This was done in advance of becoming a priest or monk. "Tonsure" is the part that has been shaved away. For those in holy orders, it symbolized renouncing worldly things, such as vanity and fashion. The type on our monkly Sim here, would be considered the "Roman" type, where all of the hair from the crown of the head is sheared away, leaving a crown-like fringe of hair.

With no hair gel required, no pesky fly-away windswept locks, and guaranteed no bed-head hair.

With no tresses covering ones shining pate, thank goodness there was at least a nice hood to tuck into in those drafty chapels and cells!

This hairstyle is provided in four colors, for what little hair there is to color...blond, brown, red, and black (plus one grey for those aging monks - linked to the blond hair). It will accomodate adult, young adult, and elderly noggins. It is geneticised, color-binned, eyebrow matched, and leaves no hairy mess on the lavatory top.
