47 Factory Road


Hi... it's been a while. Over a year, in fact. Real life got more important than pixels, and still is, but I've been a bit inspired recently, and so I'm here to bring you affordable housing for sims of all ages.


47 Factory Road is an old printing factory in Belladona Cove, now converted into 3 low-cost apartments for the less financially flush sims in the area. The lot has a well-sized outdoor area with barbeque facilities for the residents and their neighbours to socialise in, a children's play area, and vending machines for the sim who needs to eat on the go.

Apartment One - Green



The first apartment in the block is a well-sized unit suitable for a couple just starting out and wanting to start a family, with a well-sized kitchen/living area, a full bathroom and a double bedroom with space for an extra single bed. Whilst not the largest of units on the market, this apartment would make for a good first home, and can be easily decorated to bring a more homely feel.

Apartment Two - Pink


Found directly above the green apartment, this unit is more suited to an existing family, with both single and double bedrooms, a combined kitchen/living area and full bathroom, along with an extra WC. The apartment is spacious, but that space comes at a cost - this unit's colour scheme leaves something to be desired.

Apartment Three - Yellow


The final unit on the lot, this third apartment is housed in a seperate building to the other two, and is spread over two stories. The ground floor is mainly used as a kitchen/living area, with a full bathroom leading off the kitchen. Up the spiral staircase on the first floor, the bedroom area can be found, along with a comfortable TV area and a small closet that could be converted to a WC.


All units are supplied with outdoor trash chutes, telephones and fire alarms, and can be purchased fully furnished by hitting ctrl+shift+c to bring up the cheat box, then type in boolprop TestingCheatsEnabled true and shift-click on the door of the apartment you wish to rent. Once your sim has rented the apartment, bring up the cheat box again, and input boolprop TestingCheatsEnabled false.

If you want to change any rooms around on this lot, I suggest you re-zone to residential by hitting ctrl+shift+c to bring up the cheat box, type in changelotzoning residential then hit enter. Save and exit the lot, then re-enter to make any changes. Once you're done, hit ctrl+shift+c again, and enter changelotzoning apartmentbase. Hit enter one more time, save, and exit. If you want to totally change the lot to residential to convert to a single house, it will set back your sims 56,232 as it stands now (though it's an awful lot cheaper if you strip out the furnishings first).

Whilst the lot does use some content from the Stuff packs, as long as you use the CleanInstaller to install, you should be fine to grab this lot for your game. However, you MUST have Mansion & Garden Stuff and all of the EP's listed, or else the lot will not work, and may corrupt your game. If you choose to install without the Stuff packs, please be aware that some furniture may be missing =]

Included in the lot are the fantastic 'Independent Expression' counter-height windows by Leesester - I highly recommend you hunt down all her windows, as they are more than worth it.
