Presenting a new creator group and our first download. This creator group sprung from Mentoring for Builders. We are a collection of members who build in TS2 and TS3 and TS4. We are comprised of novice builders, experienced builders, and everything in between. We share WIPs, tricks and techniques, and are here to lend a helping hand or appraising eye. If you love to build, check out our group: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=587151
These lots began as a simple idea- we wanted to make a festival lot on a smaller sized lot, to be able to fit in any town. We chose a 40 X 40 lot, and made a template for the "common" season. Then we decided that it would be great to add a series of four lots, one for each season, but lots that were base game only and did not require the Seasons EP. We took the same base lot, and envisioned how a community park would look in each season: Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn.
The result is A Lot For Every Season (base game), a series of four base game lots. They were originally meant for players who don't have the Seasons EP installed, to mimic the changing of seasons in the base game. However, you can download them with or without Seasons installed, use one and swap it out from time to time, or place all of them in your town at the same time, or download only one or two and use them as standalone lots.
If you have the Seasons EP and are looking for a festival lot, please see A Lot For Every Season - Festival Grounds. This lot offers full festival functionality. It is not, however, identical to these lots. Build items must exist in all seasons, only buy mode objects can change with the seasons festival marker. So if you want the winter tent or spring pavilion or summer pool or autumn Halloween tent, please download these lots.
Each lot includes a lake for fishing and ice skating (if you have the Season EP installed). There is a picnic/ barbeque area with tables and blankets. There are a playground and restrooms.
When the weather turns cold, a festive tent goes up, to allow the community to meet and celebrate Winter. A Christmas tree is decorated, people play guitar, and friends gather around tables to chat and enjoy food and beverage.
In Spring the picnic tables return and the fish in the lake start biting. A pavilion is erected and the entire park is in glorious bloom.
When Summer arrives and school is out, the town puts up the swimming pool, plus a kiddie pool for the tots. For those who like to cool off without getting completely wet, there is a splash fountain for frolicking in.
In Autumn the leaves begin to change. The town erects a Halloween tent. Sunflowers are on display, and the community garden is ripe for harvest.
There is 1 fish spawner in the pond. When you place or replace the lot, please check that there is still only one fish spawner. Unfortunately, they tend to multiply and can cause lag or fish popping up in unusual places. To check: enable "testingcheatsenabled true" and then "buydebug on". The spawners are white boxes. Check both at ground level and underground.
Heads up if you want to change and redecorate - some of the decorative objects on these lots were moved with the Decorator's Best Friend or NRaas Debug Enabler. If you pick up something it might not be easy to replace it in the same spot again.
No CC is included or required
Optional decor items from the free holiday sets and free world Riverview, from the TS3 store:

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
