“Hope not ever to see Heaven. I have come to lead you to the other shore; into eternal darkness; into fire and into ice.”
-Dante Alighieri, Inferno

Introduction:
This Mod unleashes the denizens of the Underworld on your game, by allowing you to turn your Sims into Demons!
This mod changes the Tragic Clown Moodlet into a Demon-themed Moodlet, as well as giving those Sims a whole suite of new Demonic powers.

Demons are flavoured as being similar to Vampires, and if you create a Demon using an Elixir they will also be a Vampire Sim, however they will have some additional Demon Powers, listed later on. Think of Demons as a pseudo-lifestate. Note that in The Sims 3: Supernatural there is a small chance of becoming a Tragic Clown when travelling via the LLAMA. However this mod changes that, instead there is a chance of your Sim having other random effects happen.

The powers of demonhood have long been coveted by the students of the Dark Academy, and those at are sufficiently knowledgeable in the Dark Arts can transform themselves into this powerful creature. Demons are naturally selfish, hungry creatures that feed on the souls of Humans to maintain their powers. To represent this, any Human Sim that remains in the same area as a Demon for an hour will die, as their soul is consumed. However, this Soul Consumption does not affect Simbots, Plumbots and most other Supernatural Sims, including other Vampires/Demons.

Becoming a Demon:
There are three ways to become a Demon. Each of these ways replaces the Tragic Clown Moodlet from The Sims 3: Supernatural. This means that you will not be able to become a Tragic Clown while this Mod is in your game.
  • 1: Create the Origin of the Tragic Clown Elixir at an Alchemy Station. This requires Level 10 in the Alchemy Skill as well as reading its corresponding Recipe Book (the recipe book's name remains unchanged, however the Elixir has been re-named to Red Dew)
  • 2: Purchase the Elixir called Red Dew from an Elixir Consignment Shop for 1000 Simoleons.
  • 3: If you have the most up-to-date version of my Magic Academy Career, if your Sim reaches Level 10 of the Dark Academy Branch of the career they can complete an Opportunity called "Demonic Ascension Ritual". If they complete this Opportunity they will become a Demon, however they will remain in their current Life State. This allows you to create a Demon-Witch Hybrid.
Demonic Powers:
Strengths:
  • Sunlight Resistance: If you have the mod Enhanced Vampires by Puddingface in your game, Demons will be completely immune to the negative effects of Sunlight, unlike Vampires. I highly recommend that you use Enhanced Vampires alongside this mod, since my mod was designed with that mod in mind.
  • Demonic Charisma: Demons are highly seductive and dangerously charismatic. A Demon's request to either turn a Sim into a Vampire or to drink the Plasma of another Sim will never be rejected. This allows Demons to easily feed on Plasma without having to befriend the target Sim first, however be mindful that Demons will cause Human Sims to die if they spend too long with them. Note that Demons cannot create other Demons themselves, however they can still bestow the gift of Vampirism on other Sims.
  • Supernatural Fitness: Demon workouts are more effective and they resist the effects of fatigue.
  • Demon Wings: Demons Fly across the ground instead of Running
  • Vampiric Powers: Demons have all of the strengths that Vampires have as well.
Weaknesses:
  • Vampiric Weaknesses: Demons have all of the weakness that Vampires have as well. This includes needing to drain Sims of their Plasma, as well as a weakness to Sunlight, unless you have Enhanced Vampires by Puddingface in your game.
  • Speed: Demons move by flying, however they do not possess the super-fast running speed of Vampires.
  • Soul Consumption: Demons are naturally selfish, hungry creatures that feed on the souls of Humans to maintain their powers. To represent this, any Human Sim that remains in the same area as a Demon for an hour will die, as their soul is consumed. However, this Soul Consumption does not affect Simbots, Plumbots and most other Supernatural Sims, including other Vampires/Demons. A Sim can avoid having their soul consumed by simply leaving the area where the Demon is.

Curing Demonhood:
  • Using a Potent Cure Elixir will cure a Sim of Demonhood.
  • The Sunlight Charm will cure a Sim of Demonhood. However please note that they will still have their existing Life State, and certain Demon traits (such as Sunlight Immunity) will remain.
Required Packs:
  • The Sims 3: Supernatural Expansion Pack is required.
  • The Sims 3: World Adventures Expansion Pack is required.
  • The Sims 3: Ambitions Expansion Pack is required.
  • The Sims 3: Late Night Expansion Pack is required.
  • The Sims 3: Seasons Expansion Pack is required.
  • The Sims 3: University Life Expansion Pack is required.
  • The Sims 3: Into the Future Expansion Pack is required.
Installation/Other information:
  • To use this Mod, place both Lost_Pantheon_Demons_Mod and Lost_Pantheon_Demons_Mod_OUTFITS Packages in your Packages folder. If the mod isn't working as advertised, try placing it in the Overrides folder to give it a higher level of priority.
  • If you use this mod, use it in a save file where you're not terribly attached to the non-Occult Sims. I cannot be held responsible for the innocent Sims your Demons steal the souls of.
  • This Mod replaces the Tragic Clown, It's So Tragic!, The Sims 4 is Amazing! , The Sims 4 is Dreamy!, and Never Enough Time for The Sims 4! Moodlets. This means that the Sims 4-related Dreams from the Dream Pod will not work as intended by the developers, and I recommend that you avoid using Sims-4 Dreams with the Dream Pod enabled. However, since this requires travelling to the future and fulfilling an Easter Egg, it's unlikely to ever come up.
  • The Optional Package called Enhanced Witches Demon Butler Outfits Modified: If you are using the Enhanced Witches Mod by Puddingface if you replace the Package called "Demon Butler Outfits" with this one, Demons summoned by Enhanced Witches will have a demonic appearance similar to the Demons from this mod. However this change is purely a cosmetic change and does not affect the gameplay of either that mod or this mod.
  • Demon-hood is lost upon Death, however, some Demonic powers will remain with the Ghost.
  • Demons cannot travel on Vacations, to University or to the Future. The in-game reason is that EA does not allow "transformed" Sims to travel to another world. In terms of flavour, we can just assume that travel agencies and universities are too scared of Demons to even deal with them.
  • Although Vampirism is genetic, Demon-hood is not.
Angel Mod Version:
The "Angel" version of the mod is almost identical to the main Demon version, but with the following differences:
  • Angels have visual differences to Demons.
  • Angels do NOT steal the souls of nearby Sims. Instead they provide a positive buff.
  • Angels are Witches instead of Vampires.
Note that the Angel and Demon variations of the Mod conflict with each other, so make sure to only use ONE.

Mod Conflicts:
This mod will conflict with any mod that uses the following game resources:
  • AlchemyRecipes
  • AncientPortal+CatchABeam_0xc1e2140caeadafc6
  • Buffs
  • BuffTransform
Unfortunately since the Buffs Resource is used by a lot of mods, I suggest placing this in the Overrides folder to see its effects.
  • This mod conflicts with my own Deadly Spellcasting Duels mod, however I have included a version of the Demon mod that retains the gameplay effects of Deadly Spellcasting Duels, so you can remove my Deadly Spellcasting Duels mod and replace it with the Demon Mod version if you want the functionality of both mods.
  • This mod conflicts with my own Better Elixirs mod. However, this mod already has all of the functionality of Better Elixirs in it, so you can replace Better Elixirs with either version of the Demon Mod and have the same functionality.
