Default Lifetime Want Not Displaying
Hi all,

I really hope this has not been answered and I missed it. I have recently installed some new mods including a few from this site, and then big ones like ACR and InTeen. I have the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection that Origin gave out for free, just btw. Recently, since I've installed all this stuff, I've noticed that my aspiration bar is bigger and chunkier, and that when I roll over it with my mouse, the lifetime want does not display. Is this a setting I accidentally changed, or a possible mod conflict that you recognize/can be fixed? I'd really like some help, I'm wracking my brain cause I have never seen anything like this in other simmer's gameplay.

Thank you,

mod conflict, setting change, etc; those kind of things probably should have been checked before posting.

is the problem with all sims?

one possible solution might be to use the repair option at the Origin site.

The thing is, I can't check the mod conflict because the link to the one everyone recommends has an expired domain. So, I don't have any way to do it really. Is it possible someone could upload the mod conflict app for sims 2? And there's nothing in settings about it.

Is it all the sims, in several households, several neighbourhoods?

You should remove your user files to determine where the problem comes from, here's how: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title...lp:Game_Problem

Which InTeen did you install?

Link would help.

An in game pic may help.

Ok so I tried a few tips. I used the Origin fix game thing, and it didn't change anything. I have the Apartment Life version of Inteenimator, cause I thought that would work since it's the most recent and I have the Ultimate Collection. I did take out InTen though, just to see. Nothing changed, it's still the same. I included the screenshot from my game, and yes it includes all families that it's doing this to.

EDIT: Well, it doesn't look weird in the pic. But in the game it's so freaking chunky! And in the game, my mouse is rolling over the bar I guess it just doesn't show.

The only thing I can see is that your size is rather large and it might be the screen resolution and the game resolution not set right.

When you hover over the family icon just left of the wants panel does it show LTW?
Can you click on the family icon?

Your game might not or can not tell what video card you are using and is the reason for the large UI.

You are using the right InTeen so that's not the problem.

ADD: By the way that is a very cute child you have there. :lovestruc

Just as a quick guess, going from the UI pic, it's the mod that adds color to your seasons symbols. There have been a few threads in the past few months about this same issue. You're definitely missing one of the bars in your UI. There should be three vertical ones: one for influence, one for lifetime aspiration, and one for mood. That's why you're not seeing a Lifetime Want. That pops up when you mouse over the lifetime aspiration bar, which is the one you're missing. I haven't looked back at the previous threads, but if I remember correctly it's caused by using the wrong version of that mod. You'll need to remove the one you have and put in the correct version for Apartment Life/Mansion&Garden.

Edit: I need to correct myself, the Lifetime Want is usually seen by mousing over the Aspiration meter (aka the mood one) which you do have. Sorry about that! You are still missing the Lifetime Aspiration meter, however.
