Most of the uproar of political correctness is in fact an uproar from people complaining about political correctness (gone maaaad!). If you look into the sources of the complaints, you will find that many of them are urban legends or misunderstandings. Besides, if the 'Ho ho ho' thing is true as told, then how are 'we' being oppressed by the evil forces because of one silly incident in one place? Have any of you ever been told not to say 'ho ho ho'? It's hardly politcal correctness running amok.

I feel the same about the so-called 'War on Christmas'. People are battling against bogeymen here.
