ok, this post should be in a wcif thread for CAW, but there not being one (I did look), i have to ask this here. I need a large map with DT in place and terrain paint all done. I could start going on about how I am about to go mad because I cant for the life of me put the bl.y distant terrain in, am i the only one who finds it impossible? i cant move it without it getting completely out of control swinging and rolling all over the place . and I am not a painter, not too much of an artist as far as terrain painting goes, so. I have been looking for a nice large map with some sculpting and terrain paint with a distant terrain installed, that I could start working on and finally create my hometown. any ideas?

Aladhruin, I split this into its own thread as it didn't really fit where you put it. If you are looking for a specific world to download, first check out the World Index:
http://customsims3.com/forums/forum-74.html
If you can't find what you want, post on the WCIF forum.

However, if you are just wanting help on aligning a distant terrain, try manually typing in the co-ordinates given here:
http://pasimficandbeyond.wikia.com/...Distant_Terrain
Also, when you try to manually move the distant terrain, click on the red/blue/green axis sliders or the rotation sliders to move the object, rather than trying to drag it to position.

For terrain painting, take a look at this:
