Default Fixing Shiftable Wall Hangings
Is there a way to fix shiftable wall hangings so they don't darken when they're lowered on the wall?

I don't know, but my first line of investigation would be to take a Maxis made shiftable wall hanging to determine whether these do it as well. If these don't darken, then there must be a way.

Mostly I fix Gameplay annoyances. I take requests and have made a few Requested mods already. Visit me on MTS Yearbook

I just found a set of fixed pictures and curtains. The solution is to remesh to set the objects on the floor. That way, objects are only moved up, never down. The lighting comes from the footprint at the bottom of the object, so the object is always lit by the room that it's in.

Hopefully, that makes sense. I'm not an object creator, but the solution struck me as simple and elegant.

Mootilda, thanks for the links. That explaination seems logical. I have to remesh a few things to see if it works. HugeLunatic, I don't think that's true, at least in my game. Some objects darken when lowered on the wall even on second stories.
