Default Fix dark object
I added a screenshot to show what I mean. I had objects of one set that had slight differences before and fixed it by replacing the TXMT. But some are a bit odd, usually low end tables for some reason. The shelf and round end table in the screenshot are supposed to match, and they did in the preview I saw when downloading; but in game, it's very hard to get the end table to not be dark. In most surroundings it looks like it does in the screenshot.

Next to it is the "babyblanket", same thing with that one. No matter how light the room, it looks like it's in the dark. Any ideas how I fix this...?

Hum, two things come to mind:
- In those objects' TMXTs, is stdMatDiffCoef set to 0.8,0.8,0.8? If not, change it to that. Some Maxis objects have lower values by default, which makes them be dark no matter their texture.
- Did you lower the objects' placement through the CRES? This causes them to take their illumination not from the room they are currently in, but from the one beneath.

I didn't change anything about these; whoever made them must have. Is there any way to fix that with SimPE? (Because editing meshes is dark, scary sorcery for me.)

It can't be the TXMT - I tried if replacing it with the shelf's TXMT changes anything before posting.

Hum, maybe it's an issue with the normals on the mesh, then?

Yeah, the one you can optionally install with the CEP (was it CEP?), I think that's the radiance light system.

Floor blankets (The one in the screenshot is the baby blanket, but the toddler one does it too): http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?p=1530815

This shower does it only when it's not placed on the ground floor for some reason: http://www.thesimsresource.com/them...wer/id/1102598/

Eh, great. Not really gonna take out the lighting mod for 3 broken objects. Thanks for checking
