So I have no pics this time but I post anyway.

I kept on playing whit my sim Bothilda Amar in Bridgeport. The lady really makes good progress in her science career but she seems to have some trouble keeping her life together. Today she did however took the first step of breaking up from her old life. Due to her own and her roommates promotions, as well as other sources of cause (but no money cheat), there were quite a lot of money in the family funds. So I let Bothilda buy on other home. I should have known that there odd about tat place due to it's low price but I could never expect that it was a basement! Oh well, at least she now have a place to park her Jamboree ). Anyway, she also get an invitation to (yet) another party. This time the host was Renee Littler, a celebrity who she knows but who Ms Amar not really can befriend as she only got one star and Littler 4. But Bothilda did go to the party and was able to impress Mrs Littler and at least one other celeb to a point that her own reputation kicked of. Suddenly she did become a 3 star celebrity and whit that event she can kick her roommates butt as he only got 2 stars. My plan is to let the lady start all over and then let her girlfriend, (who Ms Amar got to know at the Uni), move in whit her.

It would be a ton of people on each lot so I don't see myself actually playing most of these lots.

My favorite completed one is a dual-family lot inspired by the Painted Ladies in San Francisco. It's essentially two houses smushed together with a shared backyard. Roofs are tricky with the bay windows. Next time I go into my build save I'll try to remember to get some screenshots.

Grabbed a couple screenshots. Interiors are still a WIP.

Impressive. I admire the duplex.

Lately, I haven't been able to get to the computer and play with my Sims. I also have a doctor appointment related thing on Thursday, so I have until Thursday afternoon to play.

But I love the duplex!

EDIT: Got to play with my Shadow Galaxia family and there are now two other Evil Guardians as Sailor Galaxia's roommates: Sailor Amethyst, whose civilian name is Nila (Bengali for Amethyst) and her style as a civilian reeks of 80's "I got dressed in the dark" style and Sailor Garnet, whose civilian name is Tamari (Bengali for Garnet) and has yet to craft a civilian identity.

I made all three Evil, gave them the lifetime wish of Empress of Evil (all 3) and all 3 are witches. Currently, they all have Classic Wands and they're proficient at conjuring poisoned apples. I think they have enough to take down the Sailor Guardians.

Personally, I have to work on the Exo-Guardians which is part of the fanart aspect of my game (Eris, Haumea, Make-Make and Sedna). I tend to make fan art come alive when I Sim.

Well, I am getting my family of 15 (husband, wife and their 13 kids) ready. Kymchee Gold is attached to Grant Imahara. The eldest son is Shu-Zi Imahara, his name derived from the Chinese for Rat and the Earthly Branch related to the Rat Zodiac Sign.

So far, I have been away from my machine because due to my bad cold incapacitating me, into coughing fits lasting up to 30 seconds at most. Either way, I miss playing with my little polygonal pixel people.

Grant Imahara? From Mythbusters?

Also, finding Sims in my save is becoming super hard. I have tools to reassign Sims, categorize Sims by attributes, I keep their names and appearances on file, and I can personally identify most of them by name, but there's so many of them now in many lots, too. I just spent 5 minutes looking for a particular Sim I thought would be good to have on location when I record my scene. The game wouldn't tell me where she was so I had to go through each lot one by one in Map Mode, only to find her sitting in a 1978 Ford Fairmont in a cramped parking lot behind an office building set.

I actually had a dream last night where I found a crapton of great, high-quality vehicle downloads for TS3 that were all pretty much perfect for my setting. But inside the dream I went, "crap, I hope this isn't one of those dreams again where I'll wake up and everything will be gone". So I grabbed my phone, started taking pictures and downloaded everything just to make sure it'd still be there when I woke up. And then I woke up.

I do have a picture of the delayed train I was on yesterday, but that's not in a TS3-ready format since I don't think it can interface with reality just yet. Would be funny to have that, though.

Yes.

Guilty of the "make a celebrity so your simself can marry\have kids with them" sin as well as "play for hours on end" sin (US Health recommends 3 hours a day, 21 hours a week MAX).

So far there are 3 of the 13 Gold-Imahara children. So far, the toddlers are the eldest and are representative of the Mouse, the Cow and the Tiger, each wearing appropriate shirts and hair.

Tu-Nao is born and I wish there were more toddler hairs for TS3 here on MTS, because there's like less than ten and they only give you so many for both genders present, with or without accessories...

May initiate a WCIF? on the matter of toddler hair.

Not much play time with my Sims, but I am installing Japanese CC (like traditional and pop culture stuff like graveyards, foods and tea ceremony stuff plus clothes you see in fashion magazines in Japan) and I plan to find more. I still have work to do on the Gold-Imahara mansion.

I want to do something with shoji rice screen door paneling and tatami rice stalk mats plus some plaster work, traditional pottery and the typical visual you'd expect of a yakata-type mansion...including a storage shed the size of a barn for all the weird stuff to collect once the house gets decorated.

Then again with Nraas, big families are a cinch. No more being limited by the rule of 8. Back when my father was growing up, he lived with his parents, his 4 older and 3 younger siblings, any students who were staying at the house to finish school and not move and go through the red tape NJ is famous for, travelers and those on the lam from unhealthy lives and a small petting zoo of dogs and cats. 8 person occupancy seems unrealistic in my opinion because not all families, as I just explained, will fit.

Besides, I love a challenge. I love rising to the occasion and work on the problem presented as I go.

Just as HeatCliff caught a perfect minnow fish, error 12 just jump when saving :/ Dunno how much progress but nothing to major happen. Playing Baker family, where Svetlana being useless but providing money aš a book store clerk, Becky climbing firefighter ladder (her LTW been change to her career accordingly back when I started playing aš them) while Topher iš being a teenager minus enrolled to school. HeatCliff may not live longer, so decide had her wife take him to the sunken city for a ride in gondola

I'm working on building lots in Twinbrook. It has to be one of my favorite worlds in Sims 3 to play, even with the lack of lots, etc. I'm working on combining rabbitholes to free up lot areas in downtown, revamping the houses, finding things to download for the town that people have made for their versions (and are totally awesome), things like that.

I do wish I could put the riverboat casino in the middle of the lake in town, but I can't so it's where it is. Hard to get to, but it has to be, I guess. I don't think I can run CAW to fix that - I mean, all I need to do is have some road cc to make a fake road to it in Edit World... guess I have to go keep looking. LOL

Speaking of things that are happening, that haven't transpired yet, that are past events: I'm going to finally go back to my futuristic world set in 2020. As of today, Blade Runner is set in the past and with it a bunch of other classic movies set in 2019, so I'm feeling inspired to make up some bullshit about the 21st century and put it to the tune of Sims in weird costumes.

I'm still working on renovation all of Sunset Valleys residential lots and community lots. I'm still debating on whether or not I want to give it new townies because I know a part of me will miss those lovely faces. I am leaning more towards keeping the original ones but it just cannot decide... Plus I know, creating all new ones would add a lot more time to my project and I'm honestly just ready to play haha and I do love the little stores that each townie has so... Idk lol

Last time, I added Zubrajud\Sailor Aquamarine (remember, the civilian names are a translation of the birthstone in a language that doesn't translate with the same root words) and it was interesting to see her in the house.

I could've sworn there was a thread for general grievances about TS3, but one of the constant minor annoyances in my game is that everytime I used brightly coloured walls or floors in the outside of a lot, it clearly shows up in the world cubemap. So if you rotate the game camera in a certain way everything will suddenly turn bright green or pinkish or red!

The fun part of this is that I have to camouflage my lots with earth tones so that the bright colours aren't visible from above. So even though it takes extra time and makes the lots more demanding, it can be quite fun.

Well... I started over with my essential Sims. They are my same favorite premades from TS2. They just look different this time around (fresh install).
I've barely played Don Lothario & he's already getting into all sorts of trouble.

Tore out the riverboat casino because it was a laggy old POS. So now I have to MAKE one, somewhere in town. Been doing a lot of consolidation, revamping, etc. In fact most of my time is on that. I'll get pics tonight.

HAAAATE how the game engine gives me attitude when I bulldoze a lot to put a bigger lot in (aka merging two lots so I can put a bigger building in). UGH.

Downloading some extras for my shots... looking at male sims like If I see one more male sim with that stinkin chinstrap scruff and those stooopid wavy eyebrows... just... don't use Lana's tumblr to look up possible male sims. *shudder* So. much. photoskinning.

So, yeah. nothing much progressing vis a vis storytelling. Then again, at least half of we simmers spend most of our time building... right? RIGHT?

Today, while attempting to get rid of a paparazzo, Usagi cast Fire Blast...and set the porch on fire. Took Michiru, Setsuna and Rei to help Usagi put out the fire.

Today, I switched to a new household dubbed Egghead Society. Comprised of Erik Estrada, Andrew Stanton, Lee Unkrich and Bill Nye (of course I'd play with his simself...today's his IRL birthday) and my simself came over. He tried charming her...but to no avail.

I'm currently populating the excellent Gladbridge-on-Stowe (by doublemedion694). It's become one of my favourite custom worlds; it so perfectly captures the whole atmosphere of an English village. There was little I needed to add to it the way of lots, except for a few extra houses and a festival lot.

But since there was one nice big 40x40 lot standing empty, I built this...

This is Carswell Hall, as it is now called. Formerly owned by the Earl of Stoweford, it stood empty and partially dilapidated for a number of years before being recently purchased by wealthy industrialist Sir Oliver Carswell. It is still undergoing renovation, by which I mean that there's still a lot of decorating for me to do inside. At the moment it is only fully furnished on the ground floor.

These are the Carswells. That's Sir Oliver in the centre, a formidable old cove with no time for idlers or time wasters and who suffers fools badly. Next to him is Lady Ermingard, possibly the only person with the patience to deal with Sir Oliver's foul tempers and keep the peace between him and their son Alex. That's Alex in the dinner suit. He's something of a disappointment to his father. In his ideal world he'd be happy enough to drift through life, doing this, that and the other (so long as the other didn't involve too much hard work). Instead Sir Oliver made joining the family firm a condition of his living at the Hall, a situation thoroughly approved of by his ambitious and demanding wife Lavinia. What with that, and his two bratty, quarrelsome children, Dustin and Delphinia, Alex Carswell's life is far from ideal. But at least things are never dull.

In reality, of course, a big house like this would require a small army of domestic staff. But I think two more sims on this lot is about as many as my game will take. And just for a change I thought I'd make a female butler. Sir Oliver has rather old fashioned views about "womens lib and all that rot", but hiring the staff is Lady Ermingard's province, and she thoroughly approved of Isolde Meadows. And despite some initial reservations, Sir Oliver has to admit she does a fine job, ably assisted by maid-of-all-work Alice Penworthal. As ever with my live-in butlers and maids I have made them both self employed, so the game doesn't give them other jobs when my back is turned. Isolde is a writer and Alice a painter. They both have the Neat trait, so when they're not writing and painting they like nothing better than keeping the place clean. So you really can get good staff these days. Well, you can in the world of sims at any rate.

More about these characters and the other residents of Gladbridge-on-Stowe to come.

Legend is history as we would like it to be. We pick through the dusts of time for what is worth keeping and, here and there, we occasionally find treasure.
