Default Simfileshare issues
I've seem to have picked a bad day to download cc, Simfileshare is doing maintenance or server change over or whatever and it is obviously disrupting the service. That normally wouldn't have me posting but what worries me is that I'm finding a lot of 404 not found links and security alerts about their links. These links were working perfectly a couple of days ago when I bookmarked them. A lot of people that create cc are now using Simfileshare & I hope these issues are not permanent, especially the 404 as that will mean people will have to reupload. There is a lot of people have abandoned the Sims or inactive or just can't be bothered reuploading cc that have been using that site & we could lose a lot of cc.

Could just be a bad day. I get a certificate warning when going onto my logged-in page, which I didn't get a couple days ago, but I've been able to download from the links I've visited today.

Simfileshare had some downtime and issues a week or so ago, and it's possible there are still some unsorted issues. Just have patience, and they'll most likely fix the problems as soon as they can.

Thought I'd try the links this morning to see if they are fixed, nope still broken. It seems pretty random it is affecting some people or links & not others. I'll have to just start asking people if they can fix their links & hope they can.

See this message on the Simsfileshare Tumblr:

If you ever have problems with SFS, check the Tumblr first, and if there are no reported issues then you can contact the admins:

Hrm I saw this tumblr post somewhere that said that if the link looked like this:

www.simfileshare.net/download/blah

that this is an invalid link, thus, throwing a 404 not found error. (blah being obviously numbers :P)

Now to fix it, just change the 'www' bit to 'https://' (so like this: https://simfileshare.net/download/blah) and there you go! Probably a few people decided to, when copying the link, to use www and that has never been supported anyways.

Hope this helps!

Is Sims File Share having issues again?

For the moment,
https://simfileshare.net/download/NUMBERHERE/
works fine.

Anything else doesn't work, or leads to a page without a download button. If you get an error message when you click the Download button, click the "back" button - this usually triggers the download (depends on the browser - if it doesn't work, try again).

Uploads seem to have been turned off for the moment.

There's something about a new host or some such, so I'm guessing they'll soon have things up and running.
