Default Maxis-Makeover: Home Edition- Results
Contest: House
Maxis-Makeover: Home Edition

A simple contest using only the Maxis Lots.

Do you think you can build? Now, can you remodel Maxis-style?
There are many contests about making homes from scratch or modding someones layouts, but this time we are going to make Maxis look good.

Rules:
-In the contest you are going to be given or select one Maxis lot per round.
-You are going to use only Maxis and/or Maxis-match objects to decorate.
-You can add rooms.
-Do NOT delete walls or take away from the original Maxis floorplan.
-You may convert bedrooms to kitchens, bathrooms to studies, pink lemonade to grilled cheese, etc.

Pictures:
There are a total of 6 pictures mandatory.
Part One- Maxis Lot/ Before shots.
This should be linked to (We rather see the new and improved than Maxis dung, but need to see that you are following rules).
Please leave all Maxis objects inside the building while you take layout shots.
Part Two- After Shots
4 to 6 pictures of remodeled rooms.
Bathrooms, and hallways do not count as rooms.
Other mandatory rules/restrictions will be noted.

Descriptions:
Your creativity should shine here.
Now that you have proved that you can remodel, can you show-off your house?
You must act as if you are trying to sell the home you just remodeled.

I think I'm going to join, but I have two questions: Do you want the house for the application furnished or not? And for the rounds, are those furnished or not?

So for the application round, we just post a house we built all by ourselves?
If so, would it be acceptable for me to use the last house I posted up in the other house building contest; or do you prefer something new . . . in which case I hope to get something up by tomorrow night.
Sims, like life, is very unpredictable. One minute you're eating four day old pizza, and then the repo-man steals your only sofa and you're in tears. ...then the food poison kicks in.

As long as the house was built by your yourself, it isn't against forum rules. However, it's up to the discresion of the host whether previous houses (or Sims or whatever) can be recycled in new contests.

Question, for the application am I able to enter a house I have made that is already up for download/been in pic threads or would you like a compleatly new one? (I haven't used it for a contest or anything but people have seen it before).

Beatdoc, that's a fantastic entry. Your pictures are always so bright, I envy your graphics! I espeically love the girls bedroom, the bed covers are fantastic.

Beatdoc, As usual, great job Your picture quality is amazing.
-Apps. don't have to have a description. You can if you'd like, but not required.
-The adding walls of outside will be bad in some rounds and allowed in others.
For Round One, I'm not allowing the adding of walls.

It's all good. I was easily missed, as, since I had to erase what I did have typed, and use that post (since you hadn't yet posted when I started typing), and then we submitted our posts at about the same time, so, yeah, all good!
And, thanks for liking the kitchen. I must say, I tried something totally different with that house. It's not exactly my regular building style, though similar. IDK, got tired of what I usually build . . . same, ole, house.
Hope you didn't mind the 'fridge in front of the window, lol. I furnish with walls down, so, I forgot the window was there until taking the picture!
