I cannot get these to work since installing seasons, same goes for the water lillies fish spawner (That worked before the seasons pack)

Not possible unfortunately. All the effects that you see are made by EA theirself, I only make them useable for the community too. Sometimes with and sometimes without other objects attached to it.
If I had made these myself I probably would have made a whole zoo already

Hi Midge, I had the same problem with both these 2 mods while I was still in the progress of making this mod, which frustrated me a lot!
In my case though, it turned out that I only had this problem on one single lot in New Crest.. On all other lots which I tested in multiple different worlds, they both worked without any problems.
My other animated animal mods are also made in the exact same way and they all work on all lots as far as I know, so I think it's a problem on the EA side. So I'm afraid I can't really fix it.

But try some other lots in that same world and some in other worlds and you might find out that they work without problems.

Hi Bakie,

I did what you said and yes it is correct, seems one lot in brindleton bay is bugged, I tried everything, a lot of your animated mods worked on this lot apart from those two, but worked fine on another, that's EA for you lol, thank you for getting back to me and again massive thanks for everything you make for us, very much appreciated.

Someone on YouTube also told me that there was a certain area in Brindleton Bay where they didn't work. Maybe it might have something to do with the change they made about birds flying straight through buildings.. Although it would be making more sense if all my mods where I used effects on won't work on those lots either... I have really no idea what causes this, but I hope it will get fixed on EA's side maybe.

well matey that's EA for you lol, I have moved the lot to another one and it works flawlessly, so I am a happy teddy, the lot in question is near the harbour area, so yes maybe because of the birds that is why they don't work, but I am grateful as always for what you make for us, very much appreciated, I really love your mods and it makes the game more interesting, cheers matey.

I have an issue with these in Windenburg. I can place them and the fish show up, but then they disappear after awhile or after I leave the lot. I absolutely love these too like all of your creations!

I'm aware of the problem some of my mods have on certain lots in certain worlds. I have the same problem myself too on some lots in New Crest for example and others have the same problems of koi fish not showing up at all on certain Brindleton Bay lots. I think these problems have something to do with the changes the Sims team made to effects in worlds, like birds, that previously flew straight through houses. Maybe they disabled some lots for spawning certain effects that will cause problems for my mods using effects too... So I can't really fix that problem.
What you can try is to place them on another lot in that same world or another and see if they then work like they should be. Another option is to set your graphical settings to medium or high if they're not already.

Bakie...I believe one of the problems is the new terrain elevation system. Ponds (and such) aren't necessarily at the same level they were before the last update. You can now raise/lower ponds the same way you do with any other object. Depending on the surrounding terrain, a pond could be slightly higher now while the Koi remain at the original level. Since there is no visible placement object for the Koi I can't really tell; you might want to make the placement object visible.

The problem with kois not appearing on certain lots was already a problem before the latest patch, but to be sure that the terrain elevation system isn't screwing this mod up either, I've just tested it again in game.
So I placed one of them in both a fountain as pool, activated them by going to live mode and after that raised and lowered the fountain and pool in build mode. When going to live mode again, the effects were raised and lowered with the fountains and pools.
If they wouldn't, you should see the koi fish appear much lower below the water surface or much higher above it. So there should be no problem using the terrain elevation tools after placing this mod.
If you can't find the object back, simply search for them using your clone tool (eyedropper tool) by hovering it over the water, if the name appears of the object, switch to the grab tool (H-key) and grab it to move or delete it. Tips like this can almost always be seen in my videos.

In get famous these koi not working at all in the lots for me, bloody EA for you, saying that the game is bugged to hell at the minute over terrains, pools etc.

These work for me, but a bit strangely. As a test, I placed them on an empty space on the lawn. They appeared, but I could only see the dorsal fins of two of them, as they appeared to be sunken into the ground. I went to build mode again, and there was nothing to grab where I'd placed them. The eyedropper tool also showed nothing, and I dragged the sledgehammer over a large area where they were and it said "nothing to delete".

I then tried placing another set in the same area, this time raised about 5 notches off the ground. They showed up and looked beautiful! But again, despite being the only object present for a good 20 squares, they couldn't be cloned, grabbed, or deleted. So it appears to be a very FINAL addition; if I want to use these, I have to be absolutely sure I'll want to keep them, and it may be a trial and error process involving many "quit without saving" actions to get the height and location right.

You mean in the lots in the new Get Famous world? As in the other worlds it's still working in my case. I Haven't tested them in Del Sol Valley yet.

That they're are sunken into the ground is "normal" as in the water they will appear below the water surface with sometimes a dorsal fin above it.
That you can't grab them afterwards could be because of the lot you placed it on. Even before we had the terrain tools, EA's lots weren't completely flat. This could cause an object to be placed half inside the ground with only a small part of the footprint sticking out of the terrain which makes them impossible to be grabbed/deleted/moved a second time.
The sledge hammer should remove it anyway though if you first click en hold on another object placed on that same ground, before draggin a rectangle over the ground.
Of course these Koi fish shouldn't be placeable on the ground in the first place as they belong in the water. But I made them that way so you could make some aquarium without water with them. When you do use a pool, you can remove them by using the eyedropper tool or the same way as I described with placing them on the ground and removing them with the sledge hammer.
When selecting the pool and deleting it it will get deleted with it too.

Be sure if you want to grab them, to be right above your lot and not in an angle looking at it, as that will make the change to grab them smaller as the footprint that's grab-able is totally flat.
You can also use a plant underneath it, so it's easier for you to find it back, or if you're using it for a custom aquarium without water, make the room first. So if you delete the room, the fish will get deleted with it.

Yes in del sol in the pinnacles, the first lot facing the city, but what's weird is there is a skyline glitch, sometimes when you go to build mode or cas and come back and it's glitching the fish work, when you reload the game they have vanished, I have also been getting a lot of exceptions, I took the file out and tried again, less exceptions this time, put the file back in more, I love this mod, I also know this mod is not at fault because I have used it loads of times since release, no problems, just wish EA would get their act together and fix whatever is causing animations not to work. Thank you Bakie for everything you make and do for us all, very much appreciated. Also please excuse my English it's not my native language.
